RE: Climatech Group Letter of Recommendation — Pavilions on the Park Development

PBS Building recently retained Climatech as the lead mechanical services contractor for Pavilions on the Park Stage 1, an Australand development in St Leonards, Sydney.

The $25 million Design & Construct of Pavilions Stage 1 consisted of 79 prestige apartments over 2 mid-rise buildings. Climatech’s scope of work involved the design and construction of a comprehensive ducted air conditioning system with car park mechanical ventilation. Natural ventilation was also incorporated into the design. The mechanical services contract was approximately 51.1 million in value.

PBS was extremely pleased with Climatech’s performance throughout the project and with its current post completion obligations. The project was completed in accordance with project timetable and the Metalled system has functioned smoothly.

The mechanical services design is essentially replicated in the upcoming Stage 201 the works, so Climatech are well placed to take on the role and we would anticipate that Australand would be supportive of any recommendation to engage them.

If you would like to discuss this project and our experience with the Climatech Group please don’t hesitate to call me on 0401 994 549.

Climatech were awarded the mechanical services contract for the 100 Market Street redevelopment and we take pleasure in confirming that we have enjoyed a high level of service equal to what we would expect form a leading mechanical services company within the HVAC industry.

The project has a number of very challenging and technical aspects about it with the following content:

  • 10 floors of commercial office block comprising of approximately 29 000 m^2
  • Co-ordination of the main plant room incorporating 18 000 kW of cooling capacity.
  • Three independent CO-Generation plants each with 1000 kW of cooling capacity and 1000 kW electrical power generation capability.
  • The supply, installation and commissioning of the mechanical plant serving the tenant main computer room and UPS facility which comprises of Stulz chilled water CRAG units incorporating under floor supply air, redundancy AC units, AC units having two independent power supply sources and a chiller arrangement of N+1. The Energy Australia power supply is also backed up via the CO-generation generator, offering the tenant a very robust and reliable system.

The Climatech team ranging from their drafting resources, engineering capabilities, controls understanding, and general team work embracing Westfield’s design team and networking with the other sub contractors and consulting bodies, was a very positive experience.

The building is currently occupied and operational with Climatech employing an engineering team to review the energy efficiency of the equipment and the performance of the Building Management System, to bring the Buildings’ energy rating to within the designed NABERS 5 star rating.
